Justina Groff offers counselling to women, men, couples and teens. She is also open, curious, and deeply respectful of her clients; so she will make you feel welcomed and accepted, just as you are. Additionally, Justina supports her clients to overcome depression, ease anxiety, and rebuild their sense of connection with others. She walks beside her clients and helps them attune to their emotions and intuition in order to increase self-awareness.

She is also the Head of Community Engagement for Juniper Counselling. If you are curious about one of our current initiatives or have ideas for future ones-  anything from donations, community consultation, workshops or group therapy-  Justina is your person!

Approach to Counselling

Justina Groff's approach is trauma-informed. Therefore, she works predominately from an Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) perspective. Thus making her skilled at accessing and evoking the depth of emotion within her clients. This helps to bring about healing, reconnection, and positive change. She also utilizes attachment theory to frame her understanding of all human being’s desire to feel connected with others.

Justina Groff is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Education and Experience

Justina holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and specializes in anxiety and depression counselling. She also brings a wealth of experience in community counselling and crisis management. Additionally, she has conducted outreach support, crisis intervention and program development in communities throughout the lower mainland, and has experience supporting youth who witness abuse, Covid-19 specific anxiety and families who have faced violence.
