When working with Tannis, you will benefit from her calm and grounded energy. She creates a space where her clients feel seen and accepted for who they are and supported to explore their thoughts and feelings, gain a deeper self-understanding, and shift their thinking patterns and behaviours.
Approach to Counselling
Tannis's approach to counselling is rooted in mindfulness-based techniques and informed by a variety of cognitive and behavioural therapies. She helps her clients reconnect with the wisdom in their bodies and uses breathing and relaxation techniques to help her clients cope with their anxiety, reduce stress, and ease depression. She believes that providing relief for distressing mental and physical symptoms are important first steps to reconstructing negative thought patterns and improving her client’s quality of life.
Tannis is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC)
