Approach to Counselling

Amrit’s approach to therapy is embedded in holistic modalities and mindfulness-based techniques and is informed by cognitive and behavioral therapies. She incorporates trauma-informed practice and a culturally responsive approach to therapy, where she will work alongside clients to discover inner strengths, goals, and the commitment to create change. Amrit’s objective is to create a warm, inviting, and trusting relationship with clients, where she will hold a safe space for clients to freely express themselves.

She finds great value in your story and will collaborate with you to explore inner strengths through authentic connection. Amrit takes immense pride in developing a strong therapeutic relationship, which is vital in creating authentic change. She will do this by helping you explore the correlation between your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and actions and how they play an important part in your present-day adversities.

You will experience a trusting, approachable, and comforting space, where you will feel empowered to reach your full potential. Together, we can develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs and concerns. Amrit will work in collaboration with clients to help discover a deeper understanding of the self, while ensuring a sense of safety, trust and rapport is established.
